I was initially looking for Inclusion in Mobile learning and found this resource which appealed to me as I consider UNESCO are reputable and respected organization. “UNESCO’s mission is to contribute to the building of a culture of peace, the eradication of poverty, sustainable development and intercultural dialogue through education, the sciences, culture, communication and information.” ( UNESCO, n.d)The UNESCO-Fazheng project covers both top-down and grassroots mobile learning projects taking place all over the world. The project aims to ” identify, analyze and assess best practices in mobile learning at the school level.” (2019, February 01)
The case studies that I found most interesting were the bottom up or grass roots which are featured in the following link: https://en.unesco.org/sites/default/files/best_practices_in_mobile_learning-case_studies-bottom-up-en.pdf
In addition to UNESCO’s mission statement above, they also promote scientific advancement, gender equality, cultural preservation, freedom of expression and access to education. In line with promoting access to education, UNESCO is supportive of open and mobile learning.
