This website was created for my ETEC 540- A3.
My name is Inhee Kim and this year I am teaching in Elementary as a Resource/ELL teacher in BC. The past three years, I was teaching in Secondary as a Life Skills Teacher and Resource.
I decided to focus on the Core Competencies– which is part of British Columbia’s K-12 curriculum and assessment system.
This new idea of a Core Competency app does not exist now, but with its flexibility and dimension of mobility can enhance how teachers use the new BC curriculum.
The idea of an app that can track a learner’s goals came from my own experiences as a RT (Resource Teacher). The idea of this app stemmed from:
1) to have access to goals wherever you are by storing data in a more efficient way, or populate data to see an overview of 5 years.
2) more student/parent involvement of achieving goals
