Welcome to the Leading Change Training Module. As you are well aware, we are living through a time of tremendous change in our business; such changes include our recent strategic reorientation, changes to the organizational structure, a new branding of our services, our new diversity and sustainability programs, etc.. As a leader, it is crucial that you develop and build on your change leadership competencies in order to effectively lead your teams through these ongoing changes. This one hour session aims to provide you with a more complete understanding of the human side of change management as well as tools to better manage it.
Specific learning objectives of this module include:
- Develop an awareness of the various factors that influence individuals’ perception of change
- Develop an understanding of the differences between the employer and the employee perspectives during a time of change
- Become familiar with John Kotter’s 8 step change model and apply these theoretical principles by designing a plan to lead change
- Explore current change management practices and design a plan to integrate new strategies into day-to-day leadership
