WHAT ARE MAKE NIGHTS?
These evenings were started as a way to foster confidence on tools and an inclusive environment in the workshop. We focus on one subject, working through a small project to learn skills and explore subjects with each other. The “SALA Feminist Make!” name was chosen with the hope that we could create a safe space at SALA for anyone who had not previously felt comfortable in a workshop environment.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
Please bring your own safety glasses, pencil, ruler, notebook, and hairtie (if needed).
WHO CAN ATTEND?
This is intended as a work space for all of SALA community to attend. Students, faculty and friends are encouraged to join!
*Any outsiders of UBC are welcome to join, but will not be able to use the machines directly.
