What is Food for Thought?
Food for Thought’s purpose is to offer educational, interactive nutrition workshops to Vancouver’s youth. We teach basic concepts of nutrition, to aid youth in realizing the importance of taking an active role in their well-being. Food for Thought is a student intuitive that is built upon the volunteers that run it. Therefore, it is imperative that all new volunteers share in the same passion for nutrition education as we do.
The program runs primarily during the school year from September – April, requiring a small time commitment of approximately 3 hours a week. We run summer programs as well during the months of July and August.
