During my first two years of university, I was originally going to major in computer science, yet after taking a few geography courses, I found my passion in geography as there were many aspects that I found extremely enticing.
I spent my childhood travelling between Taiwan and Canada, by growing up in two diverse environments with completely different cultures I was lucky to expand my horizons beyond the confines of my TV screen, and thus I knew that my own life was parochial in the extreme compared to the world. By becoming a geographer, it has provided a chance to fulfill my desires to broaden my horizons as well as foster a greater global awareness.
