A note on timeline: Faculty generally prefer having a month between when their letter has been requested to when they have to submit it. This means that if applications are due by December 1st, you need to submit an application (or part of one) by November 1st so that faculty receive a request for their letter. Most faculty will require that they see your Statement of Purpose and unofficial transcripts before they can write a letter, so these need to be submitted to them before November 1st. Keep this in mind when looking at deadlines and developing your own timeline!
