What to bring

  • Sunscreen lotion
  • Environmentally friendly soap and/or shampoo (for “baths” in the river)
  • Hat/head protection for the day and the night (e.g. cap and wooly hat)
  • 2 large towels and dress/shorts for sweat logdes
  • Sleeping bag, pillow, warm cover and insulator or air mattress (lowest temperature could be 4C at night, highest 40C during the day)
  • Wet wipes
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Small flashlight
  • Bug spray
  • Pocket knife
  • Toilet paper
  • Raincoat
  • Warm coat (it can be 4C in the evening)
  • Those who identify as female: light long skirts or dresses (community protocol, at all times), light long-sleeve t-shirts
  • Those who identify as male: long trunks (sports), t-shirts
  • Those who identify as gender fluid: there is some flexibility, please talk to the instructor
  • Personal medicines
  • Passport if you choose to go to Chief Mountain on Sunday
  • A small tarp to be folded under your sleeping bag
  • “Rescue food”: peanut butter, nuts, fruit, healthy crackers
  • Any medicines you need
  • Personal prayer ties if you decide to make an individual offering to the tree (this will be explained in the course)
