Summer Arts Peer Advising Program

Fantastic news for student leaders in the Faculty of Arts!

Positions are open for the new Summer Arts Peer Advising program.

Arts Peer Advisors are a dynamic group of student leaders who support the enhanced learning experiences of all students in the Faculty of Arts. The program emphasizes a student-driven, peer advising approach through one-on-one interactions at the Front Desk and through strategic management of online communications. During the summer session, Arts Peer Advisors predominantly enhance the student success for incoming first year students into the Faculty of Arts by offering timely and accurate information. This is a unique opportunity to work with students from diverse cultural backgrounds, to gain meaningful work experience, and be actively involved in a variety of campus activities as a student leader.

There are 7 positions available. These are paid positions through the Work Study and Work Learn Programs. Check to see if you meet the criteria for Work Study or Work Learn funding: http://www.students.ubc.ca/careers/students/work-and-volunteer-opportunities/work-study-work-learn/dates-and-eligibility-criteria/

If you have any friends in the Faculty of Arts that would be a good fit for the position, let them know about this fantastic opportunity as well! It is also posted on the Careers Online website.
