An ad for a nation

This past February when Vancouver hosted the Olympics, I have to say that this was the greatest ad I saw. It isn’t a direct add for Bell, but rather an ad for Canada as a whole. It celebrates theĀ achievementsĀ of Canadian athletes without ever directly saying Bell is better than Telus. All that this ad does is bring Canada together and portray Bell as a part of this positive message.

In such a heated battle for market share between Telus and Bell, Bell chose, in my opinion, the correct way of gaining market share in western Canada: building a long term relationship with residents of BC by associating Bell with the great achievments of all of our 2010 Winter Olympic athletes.
