Revisit

Now that you have a working theory, have one of your group members create a sine or cosine curve on their graphing calculator.  See if the other members can come up with the equation for the curve.  Take turns being the curve “creator” and the curve “finder”.  While doing this, consider the following questions:

  1. How well is your model/formula working out?  Does it need altering or refining?
  2. Does anything seem similar or different to how transformations work with other graphs?
  3. Have you found any times where two of your group members find different equations that result in the same curve?  Is it possible to have more than one right answer?  Hypothesize why or why not this is possible.
