This lesson opens a window of knowledge for students about developing countries. The example it looks at is Nigeria. The lesson contains a Ted Talk about how we can have certain views on places based on the source we are obtaining information from. With this lesson, it is hoped that students will assess the information they learn about places and people. In addition it is also hoped that the lesson opens a window of new knowledge about Nigeria. My aim is for students look at other countries that are misrepresented and find positive ways to portray them.
