Coming soon (Monday, August 30th) – A change in the Student Assignment submission workflow when using Kaltura browse and embed tool.

Change: Students will encounter a pop-up screen each time they attempt to embed Kaltura media content in a discussion or assignment area. The pop-up, as shown in the image below, asks students to verify if they are submitting the media content as an assignment, or not.

With either option the media will be attached to the assignment. However,

• If “Yes” is selected, the entry is duplicated in the back-end.
• If “No” is selected, the entry is added without the system’s cloning process.

The duplicate is not available for use. It does not appear in the student’s ‘My Media’ repository. It will act as a safeguard to maintain academic integrity should the media be deleted from the user’s account.
