I stumbled upon the wonderful visualizations of ATUS by Nathan Yau and Team Triple Treat, and decided to run similar visualizations for the Taiwanese data.

In my visualization, the focus is on housework and care activities, while I gray out other activities. The visualization is based on a random sample (400 women and 400 men) from the Taiwan Social Development Trends Survey 2004. It shows that in Taiwan women still undertake most of housework activities during the day. Particularly, in the morning hours.

In Taiwanese time use data, the diary starts at 12am, so you have to wait a little until morning hours for more interesting node movements.
