Software

My research assistants and I have built two pieces of software for linguistic research, and hope to streamline the interface between the two of them soon!

Phonological CorpusTools is a free, open-source software to aid in doing phonological analysis on corpora. You can download the software, feature files, and user’s manual for PCT on the GitHub release page. See the video below for an overview of the software.

SLPAnnotator is a free, open- source software program that is designed to implement a (slightly modified) version of Johnson and Liddell’s anatomically based and phonetically detailed Sign Language Phonetic Annotation (SLPA) system (2010, 2011a, 2011b, 2012). Check out more information on GitHub, or in our 2017 Interspeech paper (#636).
