Post Trip Reflections

It’s been a couple weeks since I returned from Copenhagen. I miss Copenhagen quite a bit and I often wonder when I’ll be back again. Luckily for me, school started right upon my arrival so I’ve been kept busy and haven’t had time to mope over my post trip blues – UBC won’t allow it.

The question I get the most is “What did you like best about exchange?”

And the thing I liked the best was being able to experience living in a completely different city for a lengthy period of time and call it home. I mean, that sounds sort of lame, but for someone who’s lived in Vancouver in the same house her entire life, it was pretty exciting. I experienced independence, a new culture, and learned some Danish! On the whole, I’m satisfied.

This post marks the final stretch of my adventure. I’ll leave you all with a mushy but describes exactly how I feel quote:

You will never be completely at home again, because part of your heart will always be elsewhere. That is the price you pay for the richness of loving and knowing people in more than one place. – Miriam Adeney
