GRADUATE ACADEMIC ASSISTANTS (GAAs) AT UBC LIBRARY INFORMATION SESSION

Each year, UBC Library hires a number of SLAIS students to work as Graduate Academic Assistants. GAAs work in many divisions throughout the Library including Life Sciences, Fine Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Science, Education, and more. GAAs gain valuable professional library experience: job experiences can include working at reference desks, teaching library research sessions, creating guides, and other professional duties.
A group of UBC librarians will be at SLAIS on Monday March 19th from 12:15-1:00 at TEF Room 320 to talk about upcoming GAA opportunities. We will talk about the hiring process and timeline, training, responsibilities and activities, hours of work and pay, and answer any and all questions about life as a GAA.
If you are thinking about applying for a GAA position at UBC Library you don’t want to miss this GAA Information Session!
