Volunteer opportunity for growers at BC Children’s Hospital

Feel like pitching in for a day or two? The Environmental Youth Alliance needs some passionate volunteers to lend a hand. For the kids!

BC Children’s Hospital and the EYA are working together with staff, families and patients to grow fresh veggies, fruits, herbs and flowers for the Mental Health building. These plants will be used in cooking, crafts, and also allow the kids hands-on opportunities to benefit from the healing effects of gardens.

They’re looking for experienced builders/landscapers/gardeners to help build garden beds, lay pathways and bring the space to life!

Dates: Sat March 23 – Sun March 24.

Time: 10am-4pm

Location: Children’s Hospital near Oak st and W 28th in Vancouver.

Email Julia at juliat@eya.ca to find out more. Please include which day(s) you can make it.
