‘Corporations in Medicine’ event, hosted by UBC Students for Science Based Medicine Club – Sept 10

The UBC Students for Science Based Medicine club is hosting a night of presentations with the theme of “Corporations in Medicine” for interested students and the public. Our guest speaker, Dr. Stan Bardal (BA, BSc Pharm, MBA, PhD), amongst numerous other appointments, is a senior instructor with the Island Medical Program.

The Students for Science Based Medicine Club aims to allow UBC students to learn about Complementary and Alternative Medicines (CAMs), and to create presentations in accessible language for the purpose of educating the public about the evidence for and against different CAMs. We are undergraduate, graduate, and medical students, united by common interests. We are hoping to recruit members from various backgrounds. Come out and see what we do! There will be opportunity to talk to the executive afterwards if you are interested in joining.

If your family and/or friends are interested in learning about the background of some CAMs, then please bring them out!
