Do you have an idea or concept with potential commercial value? Not sure what to do with it or who to contact? Come and join with us in an exciting Brownbag session to have some ideas about bringing your idea to market. Our guest speaker for this month’s Brownbag session is Annelies Tjebbes.
Annelies Tjebbes’ (BASc ’12 ECE) passion for engineering stems from her desire to solve challenging problems and discover technological ways to contribute to her global community. Throughout her education at UBC, Annelies was recognized for her commitment to Engineers without Borders and her outstanding academic achievements which launched her into her career path as a Biomedical Engineer with a social conscience. Annelies currently works at StarFish Medical developing medical innovations, and in her spare time plays on a Division 1 soccer team, sits on the Board of Directors for Engineers Without Borders, and volunteers for the Tetra Society developing assistive devices for people living with disabilities.
Come and join us for a fun, interactive session! Coffee, tea and cookies will be served; please bring your own mug.
