Are you a first year student in Land and Food Systems?
A great choice is a brand new course designed especially for you. LFS 150, Scholarly Writing and Argumentation in Land and Food Systems, meets 3 communication credits and is an alternative to English 112.
In a small-class and very interactive environment, you will be introduced to communicating concepts of food systems and links to human and environmental health through writing. Apply the elements of argumentation and get hands-on experience evaluating evidence and searching for and citing references to back up your claims. This course is expected to help you all through your undergraduate degree and beyond.
*Note that Section 001 is specific for students majoring in FNH, while Section 004 is for those in APBI – register now – seats are available. Students must have a minimum LPI score of 4 to stay enrolled in the course.
