Volunteer as a “Farm Friend” with the UBC Faculty of Education’s Intergenerational Landed Learning Project!

Farm Friend volunteers work in intergenerational groups of one elder, one younger volunteer, and 3-5 children to learn with and from nature and to cultivate habits of earth stewardship.  Throughout the school year the groups meet regularly to plan and plant gardens, tend to organic crops, harvest and cook fresh produce, and enjoy healthy foods in community at the UBC Farm.

Farm Friends commit 12 mornings during the school year (Wednesday or Thursday,  8:30am-1pm, approximately every other week, Sept-Oct 2014 & Feb-June 2015).  “Floater” volunteers are also sought for flexible volunteering.
