Have an IDEA?

Grants are not scary and they are not exclusively for research or academia. Learn how to tap into your strengths and reach out to the Greater Vancouver community. This session is open to students of all years, programs and backgrounds!  All you need is an idea and a passion! Come to one of our information sessions.

Topics and Questions included in this Session

  • What is Available – Non-academic grants inside and out of UBC for students. Listings and options will be provided $500 – $10,000 options available.
  • Community-Engagement – fancy term, but what does this actually mean? Tips on a making a plan to get involved
  • Project-based Grants – What they are and why it is important to apply. Learn from student case studies and examples.
  • Next Steps – Meet an advisor and get some early feedback on your potential pitch.
