International Studies on Sustainable Agriculture – Cuba Info Session: Jan 14, 2016. Applications due Jan 21

How can we feed a world of 9 billion people? Some say agricultural intensification (high-input, high-technology, high-investment) is the way to go; others claim that the only strategy is to return to agro-ecological methods. The field course, “International Studies on Sustainable Agriculture in Cuba” explores Cuba’s rapid transition to sustainable agriculture within half a decade. Through experiential learning and network development, you will come to understand the power of this tiny island nation’s message.

Join our information session on Thursday, January 14th at 12pm in MCML 350 to learn more and ask questions! For further information, please visit the course website at  http://students.ubc.ca/gsp/cuba2016 or contact go.global@ubc.ca.

Deadline to apply is January 21st, 2016 at 3pm.
