We are excited to kick off 2016 with a Spotlight Speaker event on January 28th from 5:00pm-6:00pm in Room 2301 in the Nest. Our guest speaker is Cybele Negris, and her talk will be a must-attend for those at UBC interested in the stories and advice of a tech entrepreneur. You’ll pick up real life information and tips from someone who led an idea that started out in a tiny office at UBC to a successful company.
Webnames.ca Inc. is Canada’s original domain registrar. A spin-off from the UBC internet pioneers who founded the .CA domain in 1987, Webnames.ca is 100 per cent Canadian owned and operated. Their mission is to connect clients with the tools they require to create, protect and promote their online presence.
About Cybele Negris
Cybele Negris is CEO and Co-Founder of Webnames.ca Inc., Canada’s original .CA domain registrar and one of the country’s leading web hosting and internet solutions companies. Cybele is Vice- Chair of the Small Business Roundtable of BC and formerly served on the Board of Governors of Capilano University, the Board of the Capilano University Foundation, as Vice Chair of Small Business BC, the Board of the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs, Vancouver Economic Development Commission and as President of Wired Women Vancouver.
