The Sustainable Agricultural Landscapes (SAL) Lab is looking for volunteers to help us with fieldwork as part of the Agricultural Greenhouse Gas Project. If you’re interested in climate change mitigation and sustainable agriculture, this may be a great opportunity for you. The position entails traveling to different blueberry fields in Delta, BC, to measure soil moisture, temperature, and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The fields we travel to have different drainage systems and management practices, and the goal of the project is to characterize how these differences affect GHG emissions over a two-year period.
