MFRE Speaker Series | February 8, 2019

The MFRE speaker series is a professional development program designed to show a glimpse into the complexities of ‘real world’ food and resource economics issues. The next featured speaker is Yves Potvin. Trained as a classical French chef in his native Quebec, Potvin is an award-winning pioneer in the food industry. For over thirty years, Potvin has dedicated his career to creating healthy, tasty, convenient foods found in major supermarkets, restaurants and institutions across North America, Europe and Asia. Yves has been recognized as one of Canada’s Top 40 under 40 by the Financial Post magazine, named Pacific Canada’s Entrepreneur of the Year in Agriculture and Food, received the BC Food Processors Innovation Award, numerous BC Export Awards, and an unprecedented five Canadian Grand Prix awards for Innovation. He currently serves on the board of advisors for the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Land and Food Systems and the BC Ministry of Agriculture.

The seminar will take place on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 3:30pm in MCML 160. All are welcome to attend!
