MFRE Speaker Series | March 8, 2019

The MFRE speaker series is a professional development program designed to show a glimpse into the complexities of ‘real world’ food and resource economics issues. The next featured speaker is Ian McLachlan, Manager of Climate Change for Innovation in the Ministry of Agriculture. The Innovation and Adaptation Services Branch provides expertise and support for domestic and international marketing, production strategies, and innovation. Within the branch, the Innovation and Climate Action Unit undertakes projects and initiatives that support an innovative, adaptive and globally competitive agrifood sector. The unit works in partnership with the agriculture industry to support adaptation at the regional and farm levels. The programming is delivered through the B.C. Agriculture & Food Climate Action Initiative, and is the most advanced work of its type in the country.

The seminar will take place on Friday, March 8 at 3:30pm in MCML 160. All are welcome to attend!
