1.  Look at the sample paragraphs for your writing mode provided by your teacher.  There are two examples, one fully meets writing expectations, while the other minimally meets the expectations.

2.  Discuss and decide which writing sample is fully meeting and which one is minimally meeting the expectations.  Discuss the differences in the writing samples.

3.  Generate a list of characteristics that your group believes should be included in writing in your mode.  These can be specific things that you notice in the writing sample that is fully meeting writing expectations.   This will be a list of criteria for this writing mode.  Record this list on your wiki under the subtitle: Criteria.

4.  Look at these six writing traits categories.  These are similar to the general categories by which you assessed your chocolate chip cookies (ex. texture, appearance, taste, smell etc).   Copy and paste this table into your wiki under the subtitle: Assessment Rubric.  Next, sort your list of criteria into these categories as best as you can.

5.  Analyze your table, and decide if any more categories should be added or any should be deleted?  Next, analyze your criteria to determine if any should be added or deleted?
