On international students

• On October 9, 2025, I appeared before the House of Commons’ Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration to provide expert witness testimony for its International Student Program and Study Permits study.
• On April 11, 2025, I chaired the online panel “Navigating intersectionality, policy, and activism: Queer international students in the Global North.”
• On November 6, 2024, I spoke on the online panel “The crash of the international student ‘market’: Causes, consequences, and the future of Canadian higher education.” On February 6, 2025, I also spoke at a follow-up in-person panel at the University of British Columbia’s Green College, which you can watch here.

On Bill C-2 (the Strong Borders Act)/Bill C-12 (Strengthening Canada’s Immigration System and Borders Act)

• On September 10, 2025, I was a panelist for the online webinar “Stop Bill C-2: How the Strong Borders Act Harms Refugees & Immigrants.”

On public attitudes to immigration

• On May 13, 2025, I chaired the online panel “Understanding and addressing changing attitudes toward migrants and immigration in Canada.”
