    Comment for Malindi:

Reteaching was clear and used visuals well. I really liked how you defined ‘signifier’ in your own way as “the recognizable shape of the sign”. I think using the word ‘shape’ can act as comprehensible input for students who may be confused with words like ‘form’ or ‘structure’.
You did explain the concept of arbitrariness without explicitly using the term. Since it is a crucial part of the theory of the sign, I think I should have spent more time explaining it.
When you were using the examples of the open sign versus the open button on a drop-down menu, you mixed up ‘signifier’ with ‘signified’. In these two examples, it is the signifier that is the same, not the signified. This made me realize that I should have gone through these examples more slowly.
    Great job!
