My Last Duchess text trade

Andrew did a wonderful job reteaching the content and purpose of the dramatic monologue “My Last Duchess” by Robert Browning. He was able to utilize the visual to explain the purpose of  and the criteria that make up a dramatic monologue. The audience seemed to understand the content of this particular dramatic monologue by looking at the visual more closely. Due to time constraints, I failed to emphasize the theme of social status in the poem which would have made Andrew’s lesson even more valuable. In addition, I should have explained the relevance of the Duke’s character flaw and how the speaker’s flaw is revealed throughout the lines of the poem. All in all, Andrew did a great job teaching a poem that he had no prior experience with!
