The artifact that caught my eye was the canoe of the first nations people. The reason that it did it because I was a canoe instructor for 5 years in a summer camp and as a tech teacher I would love to build my own canoe just like he fist nations people did. The canoe serves as the lifeline for trade and transportation in the first nations communities thus they had to be of high quality. I like this very much because I take pride in my work and everything I make and I can connect with the people that build this canoe. It was said that the process may not be rushed in order to create a quality canoe and that’s the same principle that I would like to instill into my students.
