NB: for the final paper, you may choose to write on a topic that requires more research and/or use of secondary sources, modern criticism, and other non-contemporary materials. This is one of several options open to you. You may also choose to work on primary materials only (a text—be that in the original or in translation; a manuscript; an image; other objects or forms bearing literary content).
