About Sue M’s E-Portfolio
Hello There & Welcome!
I’m Sue Morrison, and ETEC565 is the final course I’ll be completing in the MET (Master of Educational Technology), here at UBC.
Within this Web-Blog, I will be including two broad components:
- An e-portfolio of ETEC565 course assignments
- Series of personal reflections, including specific components of the course
According to UBC:
- “Folio thinking” promotes self-awareness, motivation, and direction and provides invaluable support to individuals in academic, professional, and social settings…
According to Gary Greenberg:
- “An important benefit of ongoing ePortfolio participation is the opportunity to maintain connections with peers and mentors throughout one’s professional career…”
According to Educase:
- The benefits of an e-portfolio typically derive from the exchange of ideas and feedback between the author and those who view and interact with the e-portfolio. In addition, the author’s personal reflection on the work inside an e-portfolio helps create a meaningful learning experience.
- Via materials such as presentations, reports, multimedia, course sites, etc., I anticipate these will provide an important record of my work that will be a useful reference
- Hopefully, by adding my personal thoughts and written reflections about pieces included, this will invite feedback from others, and should provide a way to reflect on what I’ve accomplished and how my perspectives have grown/changed over the course of the MET program!
Accordingly, my personalized online collection of digitized artifacts, should help represent my personal knowledge, skills and interests in the field of Educational Technology:
Looking forward to this project!
First Musings…
Sue M.
