Plants in Musqueam Territory

MUSQUEAM PLANT LIST – working document (plants native to Musqueam territory):

A database of the following plants with their uses by Musqueam for medicine, food, technology, and spirituality, is being compiled for review/editing and plant selection for the proposed medicinal garden and walk. Additional information to be compiled with collaboration includes the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ name, planting considerations, and locations around campus (with emphasis on the grounds of the FNHL and pathways leading to and including the Museum of Anthropology).  Most of these plants are in prime location for interpretive signage either in the garden, around the First Nations Longhouse or along the walkway (as well as other areas on campus such as Beaty Biodiveristy Centre Courtyard).  Those plants “*”ed are already present in the garden site.
