Rebecca Harrison
Rebecca is from Victoria, BC. She is an elementary educator with a focus in the intermediate grades. Right now she has a grade 5/6 class in Powell River and works as a Learning Assistance teacher. Personalized Learning is especially meaningful for Rebecca, as the BC Ministry of Education is currently looking at moving towards this model of delivery in BC curriculum schools. The Masters of Educational Technology will give her a better idea of how to encourage student learning, and support her teaching philosophies. In addition, Rebecca hopes that this program will help her when she looks at teaching internationally.

Coral Kennett
Coral is from Tsawwassen, BC. She works in education in a somewhat unique way as Executive Director, Institutional Partnerships for Pearson Learning Solutions, one of the world’s largest providers of educational content and services. In this role, she meets with Educational Technology representatives at Higher Education institutions across Western Canada to discuss the implementation of innovative and interesting solutions that include Online Course development, eTexts, Learning Management Systems, Video Capture and Online Tutoring services.

Paula is originally from Thailand. She taught Thai and English at a secondary school in Thailand before moving to Canada. She is now a freelance translator translating English to Thai and vice versa. During the summer months she facilitates the workshops in the area of teaching and learning English for both students and teachers in Thailand. By taking the master’s program in the Educational Technology, she hopes to have a better understanding and knowledge about the role of technology in education, and how to effectively integrate technologies into language learning and teaching. Paula is planning to go back and teach in Thailand after graduating from the MET program.
