The United Nations is an intergovernmental organization that is committed to maintaining international safety and security, global peace and bettering the living standards and human rights. The UN’s sole purpose is to promote international collaboration and develop friendly relations across the world with other nations. Being responsible of such a wide spectrum of social issues makes it difficult for the United Nations to focus on a single pivotal issue. The problems the United Nations target are on a world-wide scale and their services are needed around the globe. This is where the Arc Initiative and social enterprise make a difference to the world.

The Arc Initiative and social enterprise both have a similar goal as the United Nations of attempting to make the world a better place. But the Arc Initiative and social enterprise do so much more than provide financial security and safety. They provide the essentially tools for building a new and better life for individuals and communities.
