An interesting ad I found was the collaboration between McDonalds and the NBA. Now a days, people have become very health conscious and don’t like the idea of eating unhealthy food items. Especially food like McDonalds. A lot of children watch NBA and they become fans of particular players rather than teams.
This ad for Mcdonalds was done by Lebron James and Dwight Howard. They both are one of the most recognized faces in the NBA. Mcdonalds was clever to recruit Lebron James since he has one of the largest fan following. The theory is quite simple. Mcdonalds is hoping that a viewer will think that if an all star athlete can eat food like a Big Mac and Fries, and stay so fit and be able to do all those dunks in the ad, then why can’t they eat Mcdonalds AND remain fit.

Haha…i love this ad. I find it clever how McDonalds manages to be correct even though this advertisement is ethically wrong. McDonalds is not healthy and constantly eating their food will not allow you to be healthy and fit. In an ethical commercial, McDonalds would tell you these negative effects of their food and also stress the importance of exercise. The former is a fact that most people know of(SUPERSIZE ME!: the movie) but the latter is something they should always have to address. In this advertisement they didn’t have to do it because the exercise is implied: they are athletes! So even though McDonalds is not doing the ethically correct thing, they are still correct
