Assignment 2: Asynchronous Presentation on Consequentialism

Introduction

This assignment aims to demonstrate your understanding of the four types of consequentialism and their application to real-world examples through your presentation. You will create presentation slides using multimedia elements of your choice to support your presentation, then record yourself delivering a 5-7—minute presentation.

This assignment offers you an opportunity for you to explain each consequentialist perspective in your own words and apply them to your own context. Through this process, you will deenpen your understanding of each consequentialist perspective and reflect on and analyze your own decision- making process.

Instructions

This assignment consists of three parts. Read the instructions carefully and follow each step to complete your work. Please note only Part 3 needs to be submitted, but you must complete Part 1 and 2 first, as they prepare you for Part 3. All three parts contribute to your final evaluation. For specific grading criteria, refer to the rubric below.

Part 1 – Slide Creation

In Part 1, you will create presentation slides covering the following topics:

  1. Title page: Include the course name, assignment title, and your name.

Tools:

You may use Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides, Canva, or any other tool you are comfortable with.

Slide Length:

There is no required number of slides for each topic. However, ensure that your slides effectively support your 5–7-minute presentation.

Multimedia Elements:

Feel free to enhance your slides with multimedia elements such as images, music, video clips, or other visual and audio content to enrich your presentation.

Part 2 – Presentation

Using the slides you have created in Part 1, record yourself delivering a 5-7-minute presentation.

Tools:

Feel free to use any presentation recording tool you are comfortable with. To explore suitable options, refer to the resources below on presentation recording technology.

Tips:

For general tips on recording yourself, refer to this blog post.

Remember you are the presenter, not the slides. The presentation slides are just an aid for your presentation. Never read the text on the slides word for word.

Be sure to include both the presenter (you) and the slides in your recording. Refer to the screenshot below for an example of a recorded presentation.
