Who Are We?
We are a group of UBCO students who have either personally experienced housing insecurity due to financial reasons, or seen a fellow student go through the issue. We banded together in a communications class and hope to help ourselves and our peers by making this campaign.
Our Campaign Message:
All individuals should have access to affordable and safe housing.
The price of housing has been inflating, forcing some students to live further from campus. This affects low-income students more.
On-campus housing provides other securities in food, community, and safety which will increase general wellbeing and academic performance.
Students who are financially disadvantaged should have access to on-campus housing priority alongside other disadvantaged groups.
