Question 1
The first dataset titled “World’s countries ranked by 2014 total fossil-fuel CO2 emissions” ranks 220 countries by their total CO2 emissions in 2014 from fossil-fuel burning, cement production, and gas flaring. The data includes the country name, its rank, and the total CO2 emissions in thousand metric tons of carbon. The second dataset titled “World’s countries ranked by 2014 fossil-fuel CO2 per capita emission rates” ranks the same countries by their per capita emissions in 2014 based on the same emissions. The dataset includes the country name, its rank, and its per capita estimates in metric tons of carbon. The third dataset titled “National CO2 Emissions from Fossil-Fuel Burning, Cement Manufacture, and Gas Flaring: 1751-2014” lists a variety of emission types by country for all countries as far back as 1751 for some countries but for some the data does not exist for all those years. The emission types include emissions from gas fuels, liquid fuels, solid fuels, gas flaring, cement production, bunker fuels, total fossil fuel emissions, and per capita emission rate. The emission estimates are in thousand metric tons of carbon.
