If GIS is one passion of mine, dance is another. Dance drives my creativity, determination, and my overall sense of purpose. Here, I share with you the art form that I have been practicing and performing for over 12 years now: Bharatanatyam. This South Indian Classical Dance Style originated in the Hindu temples of Tamil Nadu, and has travelled across centuries of dancers, poets, and musicians to prove itself as one of the keystones of global dance today.

“Bha” – emotions & facial expressions
“Ra” – melody
“Tha” – Rhythm
“Natyam” – Dance

Together, these four words combine to create Bharatnatyam.
