¡Hola!
Me llamo Kayo. Estoy en mi quinto año a la universidad, estudiando marketing y negocios internacionales. El año pasado, estudiaba en Barcelona y aprendía mucho sobre la historia, la cultura, y la gente de España. Pero ahora, estoy entusiasmada a aprender sobre Latinoamérica.
En mi tiempo libre, enseño el piano en una escuela de musica, toco los tambores japoneses, y me gusta comer y descubrir nuevos restaurantes.
No tengo un blog personal, pero me gusta la idea de mantener un blog. Por eso, ¡tengo ganas de escribir muchas más entradas!

Hi!
My name is Katie and I’m a 4th year Linguistics major/Spanish minor undergrad at UBC. Random facts about myself (in no order of preference):
-Like it says in the title, I am a facebook-aholic.
-My other addictions are languages, travelling, music, reading books…NOT textbooks but REAL books, red wine, dancing, beer, and various foods which I get addicted to in phases.
-I plan to be in some state of travelling for my entire life, employed or not.
-I have difficulty making friends with any kind of technology.
-I’m not artistic, but I love to appreciate art.
-My favorite things are clouds.
-My life motto is Live, Laugh, Love (I’d like to say I made that one up, but……no)
-I’m a psuedo-vegetarian; meaning that it’s not a moral decision, but sometimes I just can’t stand the taste of the flesh/muscle/”whatever you wanna call it” getting masticated in my mouth. Ew. And yet, other times I crave a huge chunk of juicy steak to chew on….I’m a walking contradiction.
-Humour is a prized quality.
-I enjoy meditation, yoga, and exercise DVDs (another addiction)
-Loose tea kicks bagged tea’s ass.
-As you can see, I love to type (and had an extra half-hour on my hands), which merits a warning that my blogs will probably be on the longer side (just in case you start reading them and then start asking what you got yourself into). Unless I’m hungover, in which case they will be just within the limit of what is absolutely needed (just to be brutally honest, haha!)

Hola,
me llamo Max y estoy en mi cuarto y final año en UBC. Estoy haciendo un doble major en geografía y español y quisiera trabajar con problemas sociales y medioambientales en países desarrollando, específicamente america latina, donde he viajado mucho. En mi tiempo libre me gusta surfear, el snowboarding y cocinar. Estoy emocionado de aprender más sobre america latina.

What’s up everyone? My name is Pat and I’m a fourth year econ student at UBC. Although econ is my major field of study, I also have a soft spot for the Spanish language which began after a four month trip to Central America. I will be the first to admit that literature is not my forte, so I look forward to any feedback I get from all of you. In terms of personality, I’m probably best described as charismatic, energetic and friendly. Outside of class time I enjoy spending time with my friends, playing guitar, hitting the gym and playing basketball. If you want to know more, come say “hi” after class, I promise I don’t bite.

Me llamo Réka. Éste es mi blog para la clase de Span 365.
Soy de Hungría, pero estaba viviendo aquí en Vancouver por 7 años. Estudio sociologia y español, y literatura también. Trabajo con una empresa de fotografía que se llama Blue Olive Photography, y también estoy un Teaching Assistant para la clase de sociologia 100 en UBC. Mi libro favorito es Arc de Triomphe de Erich Maria Remarque.

¡Hola todos!
Feliz año nuevo. Espero que será un buen año para todos.
Me llamo Tracy y es mi tercer año aqui a UBC. Tomo clases de frances y español y a la larga querría hacerme profesora de secundaria. He vivido toda mi vida en esta ciudad marvillosa de Vancouver, pero querría tener la ocasión de hablar estas dos lenguas que estudio con hablantes nativos. Por lo tanto, me gustaría estudiar en el extranjero el año proximo o viajar un poco despues de egresar de la Universidad. Despues de eso … quien sabe que pasara.
