Introduction-Scenario

Scenario:

For this lesson you will play the role of a professional money manager in a stock brokerage firm.  In groups of two or three, you are responsible for recommending to your client (me) which stocks to invest in or stay away from based on information gathered about the stock’s performance over the last year.  Each group will be assigned one of 30 companies, and you are required to use your knowledge of integers to calculate loss and gain over the previous year.

There are two parts to this assignment and it is very important that you follow the instructions in sequence.

Part one (Gathering Information) involves mathematical calculations regarding your specific stock and creating charts, graphs, etc.

Part two (The Report) involves presenting your finding using visuals in the form of simple graphs and charts to provide me with financial advice in a brief report.
