I am currently completing my Bachelor of Education with a Kindergarten/Primary specialization. My practicum is in a grade 2-3 combined class at Grandview Elementary in Vancouver, BC.
WORK HISTORY

FEBRUARY 2003-CURRENT
Shift Supervisor | Starbucks Coffee Canada | Vancouver, BC
My duties include the general running of the shift, including providing
coaching and feedback where necessary, cash and inventory management, and overseeing
employee training. Working in customer service has allowed me to hone my interpersonal
skills and my collaborative spirit.

Volunteer Class Helper | Norma Rose Point Elementary | Vancouver, BC
As a volunteer in a Kindergarten at a Community school, I was able to experience the daily
happenings of two classes at once. I helped with class and classroom management,
supervised play, and helped students complete their school work as needed.

NOVEMBER 2003-JUNE 2006
Youth Program Coordinator | St. Stephen’s United Church | Vancouver, BC
As well as teaching Sunday School to various grades, I coordinated and ran two Friday night
youth group gatherings, one for grades 7-9 and the other for grades 10-12. I was expected
manage the youth group budget, attend board meetings as the youth group
representative, plan and execute engaging and interesting activities with wide appeal, and
accompany the groups on retreats and camps.
