Listening to the South
This vlog is a space for listening to voices that are less likely to be heard in a class on development held in the global North (in this case, UBC geography 362, fall 2009). This is a space for listening to stories, opinions, and analysis by/in/with peoples of the majority world (“global South” broadly defined – it is also in the heart of Vancouver, and in the far North) on the issues we are discussing in class. Each student is required to find and post one video, along with a brief summary and commentary that relates the video to our class readings and/or discussions.
Listening to Vancouver
This is also a space for listening to each other. Class groups will post their videos here on how uneven development shapes our communities in greater Vancouver.
