Limited term appointment in Women’s Studies (Thorneloe University
federated with Laurentian University, Sudbury, Canada)

The Department of Women’s Studies at Thorneloe University (federated
with Laurentian University) invites applications for a 10 month limited
term appointment in Women’s Studies, beginning August 1, 2010.  The
successful candidate should have or have nearly completed a PhD in
Women’s Studies or related field and be able to teach Introduction to
Women’s Studies (WOMN 1005 6 cr) and Feminist Theories (WOMN 3015
6cr).  The successful candidate will also teach one other three credit
course to be determined in discussion with the Chair. Evidence of
successful undergraduate teaching, published work, and continuing
research are desirable.

Thorneloe is a small undergraduate college where dedication to
excellence in teaching is expected.  The department offers a single and
a combined major in Women’s Studies as well as a certificate.

contacts of three referees (only those contacted for an interview will
be asked for letters of reference), their curriculum vitae, teaching
evaluations (if available), and samples of syllabi by 24 May, 2010  to:

Association annual conference between May 28 – May 31 or in Sudbury June
