Who we are

Ashlee Jollymore

Ashlee is a PhD candidate in the Ecohydrology group at the University of British Columbia. Her work focuses on how water quality is shaped by human factors, what this could mean for our health if we use it for drinking water, as well as how new, sustainable approaches to urban water provision compare to traditional methods.

When not relentlessly collecting water samples for her PhD, Ashlee can probably still be found doing something outside. In the past this has included gardening (mostly weeds), hiking (short distances over flat terrain preferred), skiing, or biking (walking her bike down trails that scare her… which in Vancouver is pretty much everything…)

After taking a course about science communication, Morgan wanted to try to incorporate citizen science,  or community participation in science, with water monitoring.
