The Sociology Students’ Association and Sociology Department are pleased to announce we are able to offer students support with social research and academic engagement. The Sociology Undergraduate Peer Support Grant ($600 in total) will be issued once annually and is intended to assist one or more undergraduate students with a major in Sociology who have an academic project. This year’s deadline to apply is Sunday, March 19th 2017.
Examples of applicable academic projects include:
– Conference registration fees
– Expenditures coming from an Honours Thesis or a Directed Studies research project
– Urban Ethnographic Field School fee

Friday, March 31st 2017: Winners notified
What to include in your application package:
1. Letter of intent (~600 words):
– What is your project?
– What inspired you to start it?
– Do you have any extracurricular involvement?
– How do you think this grant will help you and your project?

*Note: Please include one reference that is not a family member or a friend who can verify your project (eg: supervisor, professor, etc.).
4. Tentative budget
